How Breathwork Can Change Your Energy (and Your Day)
One of the most powerful tools I’ve discovered in my wellness journey is breathwork. It sounds simple - because it is - but the effects are profound.
When you’re stressed, your breath becomes shallow and fast, signalling danger to your nervous system. But when you consciously slow and deepen your breath, you send the opposite message: You are safe. You can relax.
Breathwork activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting you out of fight-or-flight and into calm and clarity. It can take you from anxious to grounded in minutes.
In my workshops, I often begin with simple breathing sequences to release tension and clear the mind before we move into journaling or manifestation work.
You don’t need an hour - even three deep, conscious breaths can reset your energy.
Try this:
Inhale deeply for 4 counts
Hold for 4
Exhale slowly for 6
Repeat 3–5 times
Notice the shift. That’s your energy changing - your awareness expanding, one breath at a time.
